πŸ“‹ JULY 14 BOARD MEETING — WHAT HAPPENED (AND WHAT YOU COULDN’T HEAR)

The STR Administrative Fee was on the agenda (Item 8) but no vote was taken — the $59 fee remains suspended at least until the next board meeting on August 11. The annual membership meeting is August 15. The Board approved the minutes of the June 9 meeting; as of July 18 those approved minutes had not yet appeared in the owner portal’s Meeting Minutes folders.

About the recording: the Zoom audio for much of the meeting is unintelligible. The Association acknowledged this in its July 16 email to owners — “We are aware that members experienced poor audio quality on Zoom during the recent Board of Directors meeting” — and re-shared the recording. Judge for yourself: watch the July 14 recording. When usable minutes or a corrected recording appear, they will be linked here.

The rules got fuzzy, the records disappeared, and the vote stopped mattering. Our association’s own IRS filings, By-Laws, and board minutes β€” read through the lens of Orwell’s Animal Farm. Audits that stopped in 2022, $14 million in unexplained adjustments, minutes that don’t exist, and a website we swore to the IRS but don’t own. Every source cited.
